Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival -Entebbe

Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay at Victoria Guest House(B.B)

Day 2Drive to Kibale national park

After breakfast, our safari driver will brief you about 8 days adventure Uganda safari and then drive you westwards to Kibale national park. Upon your arrival check in to your lodge and then head out for a village walk in Bigodi area. During the village walk, you will also learn about the lifestyle of the Batooro and Bakiga people; visit the village primary school, church and also the traditional herbalist. The guide will explain to you the history of Bigodi, as well as the role of women in the village. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp (B.L.D)

Day 3Chimpanzee tracking –Nyakasura visit.

After breakfast drive to Kanyanchu visitor centre for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. Thereafter join the park rangers as you track habituated chimpanzees in the forest. You will take an hour observing, taking photos and videos of these apes. Later have lunch and head to Nyakasura hills for a culture walk and learn the traditional environment in Tooro region. While at the cultural centre, you will have a closer view of the legendary mountains of the moon ranges. Retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight Kibale Forest Camp. (B.L.D)

Day 4 Game drive and Boat cruise.

Depart after breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth National park to enjoy your morning game drive. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the Kazinga channel, which is an oasis for a number of wildlife species. During the boat ride, you will have a closer view of elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles hippos as well as; various bird species like malachite kingfisher and saddle billed stork. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. (B.L.D)

Day 5Morning and Afternoon Game drive-Ishasha

After breakfast with packed lunch embark on a morning journey as you head to Ishasha. Take a glimpse of the early risers as they hunt. Drive around as you look for the famous tree climbing lions on the big branched fig trees of Ishasha sector. Other wildlife to see are big herds of Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes, Cheaters, warthogs, and different species of birds. Take lunch and continue with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Bush Lodge. (B.L.D)

Day 6Transfer to Bwindi

In the morning after breakfast departs and drive to the Bwindi impenetrable forest National park. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of coffee plantains. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge. (BLD)

Day 7Gorilla tracking and Batwa pygmies

After breakfast, you will drive to the briefing area for gorilla trekking guidelines. Then you will be assigned groups according to the Gorilla family led by park guides and rangers. The duration for your search is unpredictable as it is determined by the movements of the gorillas; however, on finding the gentle giants you will spend an hour with them; taking photographs, videos and observing their amazing way of life. In the evening you will visit the Batwa pygmies community, interact with the pygmies, listen to their interesting forest stories. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge(B.L.D)

Day 8Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out then drive back to Kampala. Stopover at the equator for the water experiment at Kayabwe. Then proceed to Kampala for a shopping spree at the African craft market. Later the driver will drop you at the Airport in time to catch your flight back home.

End of 8 days Primates & Wildlife Safari.
